Extending Nutrient Management to Gippsland Dairy Farmers

The project will develop & deliver regionally relevant materials for Gippsland dairy farmers about practical & innovative nutrient management on farm. Practical solutions for fertiliser applications, effluent reuse, water savings and minimising nutrient losses off farm will be show cased.

The project aims to develop two information pamphlets related to the benefits of improved nutrient management and how to implement best practice. It will also develop five case studies that will highlight how different individuals are implementing best practice on their farms and what have been the benefits for them. These pamphlets will be combined into an information pack and will soon be available on line.
