Gippsland Dairy Region

GippsDairy covers the dairying region from the edge of the city to the east coast of Victoria and the border with NSW. Its 1523 dairy farms produced 22% of Australia’s milk making it the largest milk producing area in Australia in 2011/12. Distribution of the dairy farms across Gippsland is shown by shire below. 30% of farms produced 63% of the milk.
