Judy is originally from Melbourne so knew nothing about dairy farming.  She worked as an office assistant/bookkeeper until meeting her husband who was keen to go into dairying.

Judy and her husband left their office jobs and went share farming up at Kyabram but when that didn’t work out they came back to Gippsland, purchased a boarding cattery and worked that for 5 years before buying their own farm at Carrajung Lower, near Yarram

Judy is currently Vice-President on the Committee of the local Artifical Breeding centre, and also Secretary of the local VFF/UDV branch. She wanted to be on the GippsDairy Board because she feels that she has a positive outlook for the dairying industry and wanted to contribute to what she sees as a vibrant industry with loads of good ideas, plenty of good research going on and full of plenty of really great people!
